📖 How to practice Adding a Learner (Date of Birth and Grade Level)
## Adding a Learner (Date of Birth and Grade Level) When adding a learner, date of birth is optional (you can create an account without entering it). - If you enter a date of birth, the grade level is set automatically based on Japanese school-year rules. (If the date falls outside the expected range — such as pre-school age or post-graduation — you will need to select the grade manually.) - If you leave the date of birth blank, you must select a learning level (grade). This grade determines which kanji will appear in practice. - If no date of birth is entered and the learner's age cannot be confirmed, a parental consent checkbox must be checked. The grade level can be changed at any time in the settings screen (see "What happens when you change the grade level" for details).
